Howie DiSavino, III, returns to Jordan Anderson Racing at Pocono Raceway

LONG POND, Pa: On the heels of his career-best NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) finish two races ago at Texas Motor Speedway, rookie Howie DiSavino, III, returns to Jordan Anderson Racing (JAR) for Saturday afternoon’s CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.

Receiving an 11th hour call from team owner Jordan Anderson days before his second career Truck Series start at Texas, DiSavino made most of the opportunity – finishing 23rd – a respectable finish for his intermediate track debut.

With confidence on his side, the 20-year-old treks to Pocono looking to dance with the track dubbed the “Tricky Triangle” and eager to deliver another solid result.

“Texas was an unbelievable opportunity and I’m thankful to have another chance to run for Jordan Anderson Racing this weekend at Pocono,” said DiSavino. “I learned a lot at Texas, especially when it comes to the handling of a truck at higher speeds – including side drafting.

“I honestly feel that should all be helpful for me at Pocono this weekend too. We’ve been planning to run this race since Texas and I’ve been focusing really hard, studying film, doing a lot of iRacing and just talking to the team and some others close to me about what to expect and anticipate this weekend.

“It is a very short race, but I have the mindset to be methodical and do my best to have another clean, strong race together.”

To help DiSavino grasp Pocono’s monstrous layout, he will attend Thursday’s ARCA Menards Series open test session as a guest of Rette Jones Racing.

“I won’t be competing in the ARCA test at Pocono, but being able to be at Pocono with my manager Austin (Theriault) and be a guest of Rette Jones Racing will be extremely beneficial to me,” added DiSavino.

“I’ll be able to get on a radio and digest the feedback between the team, experience the test from different locations of the track and just put my head into the game even more by watching other cars compete on Thursday.
“You can truly learn a lot just by watching and I plan to do a lot of that on Thursday afternoon. Hopefully, it helps for Saturday too.”

Longtime DiSavino partner Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning will serve as the primary marketing partner on the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado, while KEES Vacations will hold an associate partnership role in the quadruple weekend with two races for the NASCAR Cup Series, as well as Truck and Xfinity Series competition.

“I cannot thank my primary partners Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning and KEES Vacations enough for this opportunity and I hope it continues to open the door to do some more Truck Series racing throughout the remainder of the 2021 season.”

In addition to KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Azalea D Realty, Bommarito Automotive Group, Lucas Oil, MassMutual Greater Richmond, and Q Barbeque Richmond will serve as associate marketing partners on DiSavino’s No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado.

In addition to Texas, DiSavino made his NCWTS debut in April at Richmond (Va.) Raceway. He is also a six-time participant in the ARCA Menards Series where he earned two top-10 finishes for AM Racing.

Former winning NASCAR driver Reed Sorenson will continue to guide DiSavino from above this weekend as his spotter.

Based on the metrics set by NASCAR without practice or qualifying, DiSavino will start his Pocono Raceway debut from the 33rd position.

Howie DiSavino, III, readies for Truck Series debut at Richmond Raceway

RICHMOND, Va.: The anticipation is nearly over for Howie DiSavino, III, who will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut for Jordan Anderson Racing (JAR) in Saturday afternoon’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.

Richmond is more than just a debut for the recently turned 20-year-old upcoming sensation.

It’s an opportunity and audition at the same time.

The sixth Truck Series race of the season is nestled just 18 miles south of DiSavino’s hometown of Chesterfield, Va., and the stands will be packed this weekend with plenty of support from friends to family and marketing partners.

“I’ve been looking forward to Richmond ever since we made the announcement a couple of weeks ago and I can’t believe it’s almost here,” said DiSavino who most recently competed in the ARCA Menards Series season opener for fellow Truck Series team AM Racing.

“This opportunity is a huge blessing but also the biggest opportunity of my life and I will do everything I can to make sure we come out of Richmond on Saturday afternoon with a lot of positivity on our side.”

To prepare himself to negotiate Richmond’s 0.875-mile short track, DiSavino has been studying film, photos and even spending a lot of time iRacing – hoping his hard work behind the scenes will prove to be beneficial for the 250-lap race.

“I’ve been diligently doing everything I possibly can to get myself ready for Richmond,” added DiSavino. “I’ve spent a lot of time on YouTube, looking at photos, talking to other drivers who have raced at Richmond and so on. Without practice or qualifying, my first laps at Richmond will be when that green flag drops.

“That can be challenging for any driver – but as a team, we accept and are ready to conquer the challenge.”

Longtime DiSavino partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning will serve as the primary marketing partners on the No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado in the doubleheader weekend with the NASCAR Cup Series.

“I cannot thank my primary partners KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning enough for this opportunity and I hope it opens the door to do some more Truck Series racing throughout the 2021 season.”

In addition to KEES Vacations and Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Azalea D Realty, Q Barbeque Richmond and MassMutual Greater Richmond will serve as associate marketing partners on DiSavino’s No. 3 Chevrolet Silverado.

To help kick off his NASCAR debut weekend, DiSavino will join his No. 3 KEES Vacations | Bud’s Heating & Air Conditioning Chevrolet Silverado at Q Barbeque Richmond (13800 Fribble Way, Midlothian, Va. 23112) beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thurs., April 15 in a fundraiser benefiting ASK Childhood Cancer Center.

Former winning NASCAR driver Reed Sorenson will guide DiSavino around Richmond as his spotter.

Additional details on DiSavino’s 2021 program are forthcoming.

DiSavino To Make ARCA Debut at Elko

CONCORD, NC (July 3, 2019) – Just days after signing with PMG to accelerate his racing career, Howie DiSavino III announced today he will be making his ARCA Menards Series debut at Elko Speedway on July 13. DiSavino will be racing a car prepared by WinTron Racing in the 250-lap event.

“It’s insane how quickly all this has happened, but I’m stoked to be making my ARCA debut at Elko Speedway next weekend,” DiSavino said. “I think Elko will fit my style well, as I’ve grown up on bullrings like Southside Speedway in Virginia, and Elko is one of those kinds of places. I can’t thank Kevin Cywinski enough for putting faith in me to drive one of his cars and to PMG for making it all come together so fast.”

WinTron Racing has a solid history in the ARCA Menards Series in addition to other forms of motorsports. Most recently, WinTron has been a part of the careers of drivers like Cup star Daniel Suarez, defending Xfinity Series champion Tyler Reddick, and Truck Series stars like Brett Moffitt and Ross Chastain. Team owner Kevin Cywinski is a former driver, racking up multiple national championships in the former ASA National Tour.

“We tested the other day with WinTron at Hickory, and things went really well,” DiSavino said. “Twice, they’ve taken a driver to victory lane in their first start, plus they won this race last year with Gus Dean. I’d love to have that result, and while it’s not my expectation, it’s encouraging to know the equipment is capable of winning with rookie drivers and veterans alike.”

Prior to making his ARCA debut, DiSavino has competed exclusively on short tracks near his home outside Richmond, Virginia. Appropriately, Brad Gramm and Mass Mutual Greater Richmond is assisting in DiSavino’s jump to the ARCA Menards Series as the primary sponsor for next weekend’s event.

The Menards 250 rolls off at 9pm CT on Saturday, July 13. MAVtv will carry the race live on their cable network while additional coverage can be found on the series website at ARCAracing.com.

PMG Adds DiSavino To Growing Family Of Drivers

CONCORD, NC (June 28, 2019) – Howie DiSavino III and PMG have joined forces to accelerate the career of the teenage driver from Virginia. DiSavino currently competes in late model stock cars around the Virginia region with aspirations of ascending to the highest levels of the sport.

“Howie has been a quick study in his very short career,” said Austin Theriault, co-principal at PMG. “He started out racing arena cars just a few years ago, now he’s a contender in a late model at every track he frequents. Someone with Howie’s kind of attention to detail and ability to learn always has the opportunity to excel in this sport, and we aim to accelerate those opportunities for him.”

DiSavino was only eight years old when a pair of free tickets to a local arena racing event caused him to be bitten by the racing bug. After that first race, he begged his family for a racecar until the time he was 13 when his dream finally became a reality. As newcomers to the sport, the family quickly learned how much effort a successful career needed and learned of the long road toward achieving Howie’s racing goals of landing a ride in the top three levels of NASCAR.

Since their initial foray into motorsports, the DiSavino family have seen quick success after early, rookie stumbles. In only his third year of racing late models, DiSavino has excelled at his home track of Southside Speedway while also making visits to facilities such as Dominion Raceway and Shenandoah Speedway. More often than not, the No. 55 unloads as a threat to win, consistently finishing in the top three on any given night.

“We’ve been attempting to accelerate my career for a few years now after getting into late models, and while we’ve had success on the track, it’s a lot of the other stuff we’ve learned takes solid guidance,” said DiSavino, who has aspirations of moving up to ARCA before he is 21 years of age. “Austin and J.R. at PMG have been exactly the kind of people we’ve been looking for to help us understand all the moving parts and relationships inside this sport. Yes, we did it ourselves locally, but beyond that, we’re depending upon Austin and J.R. to lead me in accomplishing the rest of the goals in my racing career.”

PMG has been accelerating careers of drivers like Howie DiSavino III for over thirty years. Their staff has experience at all levels of the sport in career management from Legends and Bandoleros up to the NASCAR Cup Series. With the recent addition of former ARCA champion and current NASCAR driver Austin Theriault as a principal, PMG is better suited than ever to assist aspiring racers with their career plans to achieve their racing goals.

Howie DiSavino III will be in action regularly around Virginia through the remainder of the racing season. After making their CARS Late Model Stock Tour debut a week ago at Dominion Raceway, the team plans to focus on races at their home track of Southside Speedway while making occasional visits to other facilities in the region.
